Welcome Parents!!!

We are excited to welcome you and your child to a new basketball season with our organization. We are looking forward to a fun, rewarding, and challenging season where your child will learn new skills, make new friends, and enjoy the game of basketball.

As parents, you play an important role in supporting your child and the team. We ask that you:

• Attend the parent meeting before the season starts, where you will meet the coach, the team mom (if there is one), and the other parents. You will also receive important information about the schedule, the uniforms, the rules, and the expectations for the season.
• Get your child to practice and games on time, with the proper equipment and attire. Make sure they are well-rested, well-fed, and well-hydrated.
• Cheer for your child and the team in a positive and respectful manner. Avoid criticizing or coaching from the sidelines. Respect the coach’s decisions, the referee’s calls, and the other players and parents.
• Volunteer for some tasks that will help the team run smoothly, such as snack duty, fundraising, scorekeeping, or concession stand duty. Your help is greatly appreciated!
• Communicate with the coach and the team mom or dad (if there is one) about any questions, concerns, or issues you have throughout the season. Respond to any emails or messages from them in a timely manner.
• Encourage your child to have fun, learn new skills, and improve their game. Praise their effort, improvement, and teamwork. Help them cope with mistakes, setbacks, and losses.
